When I say, “To understand me is to adapt like waves on a boat,” I’m talking about the natural ebb and flow of life, and how it reflects in who I am. Just as a boat moves through the water, facing changing tides and unpredictable waves, you have to be flexible if you’re going to ride alongside me. There’s no sinking—only shifting, adjusting, and pushing forward, no matter how rough the waters get.

People tend to think they have me all figured out, like they can put me in some kind of box. But just like the ocean, I’m not predictable, and I’m definitely not one-dimensional. To truly get me, you have to be able to move with my energy, whether it’s high tide or low. You can’t sink under pressure when things get deep, and you can’t expect to coast smoothly all the time. Life isn’t like that, and neither am I.

The Art of Adaptation

I’ve learned a lot about adapting through my journey—whether it’s been in business, relationships, or just staying focused on my grind. Just like waves don’t stay the same, I’m always evolving. Some days, I’m calm and steady, handling life’s demands with ease. Other days, I’m a force, crashing hard into challenges, but never losing sight of my goals. People who understand that don’t fight against the current—they ride with it. They know that change is inevitable, and how you handle it defines your strength.

Think about the waves for a second. They hit, they retreat, they rise, and they fall, but the boat stays afloat as long as it’s balanced. That’s how I see life, and that’s how I live it. You’ve got to be balanced, and you’ve got to be ready for whatever’s next.

Understanding me requires that same kind of flexibility—whether it’s my drive to build Blacc Market Media, my focus on putting artists on the map through Still Got The Juice TV, or even just how I move as a father. I’m constantly adapting, growing, and evolving. Staying stuck in one mindset or expecting things to be a straight line isn’t how I operate.
