Tapping Back In: The Journey So Far

Man, it’s been a minute since I tapped in with y’all, but trust me—I’ve been working. As some of you may know, I’ve started my media company, and that move landed me a gig as an interviewer with Still Got The Juice TV. Since then, I’ve been sharpening my interview skills, finding my identity as a journalist and broadcaster. Working alongside Phresher and Diany Dior as part of the team has been a game-changer. I’ve been filling in the blanks, doing whatever’s needed, and the opportunities keep coming.

This gig has given me access to some of the most exclusive events around the city, and nightly, I’m hanging with celebrities. The past few weeks have been nothing short of pandemonium. Let me catch y’all up on what’s been going down.

It kicked off with Diany Dior’s mixtape release party. When I say it was unreal—the streets were packed for two blocks in each direction. The turnout was crazy. Several artists and stars came through to celebrate with Diany, including Billy B, Dusty Locane, DJ Druski, Fivio Foreign, Ahna from Baddies, Capella Grey, and many more. Diany performed tracks like “Favorite Lady” and “Treat U Better” and completely rocked the crowd.

Now, I found myself playing a different role that night—security for the VIP section. I was face-to-face with every star in VIP and every local fan and artist trying to sneak past to meet them. It was a wild feeling, balancing my relationships with people who know me while keeping the space secure. I ran into this dude I knew from high school who thought knowing me would be his ticket in to give Diany flowers. I had to stop him in his tracks, and the look on his face when I said no? Let’s just say he didn’t expect “Lil Bro” to be the one making those calls. But this opportunity means too much to me, and I couldn’t let anything slide.

Overall, the night was a wild success. The whole team came through strong. I even left with a bunch of free merch from Weedmaps and a graffiti airbrush t-shirt commemorating the event.

The next day, we were at Diany Dior’s pop-up signing at Dolls Kill in Brooklyn. That event had a calmer vibe, but it was still full of energy. I got to meet more artists like Mellii, who had just come off tour with Russ. What stood out the most, though, was Diany personally welcoming me to the team. She signed a poster for me and snapped a picture with me. She’s got a little sister vibe, and I just wanted her to know that when she sees my face, it’s family—she’s safe.

Then came the Unity in the Community Back-to-School Festival. This was a whole-day affair, kicking off at 10 AM. We had games, painting, basketball tournaments, and we gave away trophies and school supplies to kids in need. Local artists and celebrities like Lil Mama and Lucky Banks performed, and it was all about giving back. The best part of the day, besides the performances, was putting smiles on those kids’ faces. I got to encourage them to do well in school and speak positivity into their futures. It was a humbling experience, and one that reminds me why I grind so hard.

Reflecting on the Journey Ahead

Moving forward, I feel more motivated than ever. Seeing the lifestyle I want for myself up close and personal has been eye-opening. It’s shown me that, even in this fast-paced world, you’ve got to stay disciplined, grounded, hungry, and humble—all at the same time. Easy come, easy go. You have to carve your lane and maintain it.

These experiences remind me that success isn’t just about what you gain, but how you hold on to your core values while achieving it. I’m ready to keep grinding, leveling up, and staying true to myself as I navigate this journey.

That’s it for now, but trust me, there’s more to come. Stay locked in with me—this is just the beginning.
